Warranty

Product Warranty & Safety

1. Standard Warranty

  • All CAREFIT products are covered under a One-Year Standard Warranty against manufacturing defects, commencing from the date of purchase as stated on the original invoice, unless a different warranty period is expressly specified for a particular product.
  • The warranty is applicable subject to the product being used, operated, installed and maintained in accordance with the instructions, safety guidelines and operating conditions provided by CAREFIT.
  • Warranty service is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective component/product, as applicable and as determined by CAREFIT, subject to the terms of the applicable warranty.

2. Exclusions from Warranty

The Standard Warranty does not cover damage, malfunction or failure resulting from:

  • Physical impact, accidental damage or mishandling.
  • Misuse, negligence or improper operation.
  • Improper installation or use contrary to the supplied instructions.
  • Unauthorised repair, modification, alteration or tampering with the product.
  • Voltage fluctuations, abnormal power supply or unsuitable electrical conditions.
  • Failure to follow the product’s operating, maintenance or safety instructions.
  • Normal wear and tear or deterioration arising from regular use.
  • Consumable, routinely replaceable or service-adjustable components, except where the failure is determined by CAREFIT to be a manufacturing defect covered under the warranty.

3. Post-Warranty Service & Spare Parts

  • Expiry of the applicable warranty period does not create any continuing obligation on CAREFIT to maintain, stock or procure spare parts indefinitely, unless such continuing obligation has been expressly undertaken by CAREFIT in writing.
  • After expiry of the warranty period, CAREFIT may, wherever reasonably possible, provide chargeable inspection, repair and technical support, subject to applicable service charges, availability of technical personnel, spare parts and technical feasibility.
  • For discontinued, obsolete or technologically outdated products, availability of spare parts after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to commercial availability, manufacturer/supplier support, technical feasibility and availability of compatible components.
  • CAREFIT does not guarantee perpetual or lifetime availability of spare parts, components, accessories, technical support or repair facilities, unless such commitment has been specifically provided in writing for the particular product.
  • Where a required component has been discontinued by the original manufacturer or supplier, or is otherwise no longer commercially available, CAREFIT may be unable to repair or restore the product. Wherever reasonably feasible, CAREFIT may suggest an alternative component, compatible solution or replacement product, subject to technical feasibility and applicable charges.
  • The purchase of a product does not constitute a guarantee that the product will remain repairable or serviceable throughout its entire physical or expected lifespan.

4. Third-Party / Overseas Components

Certain CAREFIT products may contain specialised components, electronic parts, heating elements, motors, controllers, rollers or other components manufactured or supplied by third-party or overseas manufacturers.

The continued availability of such components may depend upon the manufacturer’s production, technology, business operations and willingness to supply the relevant component. If the original manufacturer or supplier discontinues a product/component or ceases to supply it to CAREFIT, obtaining the same component may not be possible.

In such circumstances, CAREFIT will make reasonable efforts, wherever practicable, to identify an alternative repair or replacement solution; however, no guarantee is provided for perpetual availability of such components or services.

5. Safety Guidelines

For safe and proper use of CAREFIT products:

  • Do not partially cover a heating mat during use, as this may restrict heat dissipation and create a risk of overheating or fire.
  • Always use the timer function in accordance with the product’s operating instructions.
  • Unplug the product after use and before cleaning, inspection or maintenance, where applicable.
  • Do not place objects over heating areas or use the product in a manner contrary to the supplied instructions.
  • Do not attempt unauthorised repairs or modifications, particularly to electrical, electronic, heating or motorised components.
  • Use the product only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the operating and safety instructions supplied with the product.
  • Keep electrical connections, plugs and power cables away from water and moisture unless the product is specifically designed for such conditions.

6. Items / Conditions Not Covered Under Standard Warranty

The following are generally not covered under the Standard Warranty unless CAREFIT determines that the failure is attributable to a manufacturing defect:

  • Fuse or lamp/LED blowouts or failures.
  • Loosening, adjustment or routine maintenance of drive belts.
  • Problems arising from unstable, abnormal or unsuitable input voltage/power supply.
  • Normal wear and tear or routine maintenance requirements.
  • Damage resulting from improper use, accidental damage, mishandling or failure to follow operating instructions.

Engineering/service visits for issues determined to be outside the scope of warranty coverage may be chargeable, including applicable inspection, travel, labour and replacement-part charges.

7. Post-Warranty Service Charges

Any repair, inspection, engineering visit or technical assistance requested after expiry of the applicable warranty period may be provided on a chargeable basis, subject to availability and technical feasibility.

Applicable charges may include:

  • Inspection/diagnostic charges;
  • Engineering/service visit charges;
  • Travel and transportation expenses;
  • Labour/service charges; and
  • Cost of spare parts, components or accessories.

The applicable charges will be communicated to the customer wherever reasonably practicable before undertaking chargeable repair work.

8. Customer Responsibility

Customers are advised to:

  • Retain the original purchase invoice and warranty documentation.
  • Follow all operating and safety instructions supplied with the product.
  • Contact CAREFIT or an authorised CAREFIT service representative for technical assistance rather than attempting unauthorised repairs.
  • Understand that the availability of post-warranty spare parts and repair services may depend upon the product’s age, model, technology, component availability and continued support from the original manufacturer/supplier.

9. No Lifetime Spare-Part Commitment

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, CAREFIT does not provide any representation or guarantee that spare parts, components, accessories or repair facilities for any product will remain available for the entire physical or expected life of the product.

This provision is particularly applicable to products that have been discontinued, superseded, become obsolete, or contain components that are no longer manufactured or commercially available.
